Geriatric

Some elderly cats reach a very old age without any medical problems at all. Those that don't, and may suffer from kidney, heart or skeletal deterioration, generally require a little extra attention when staying in a cattery.
If you have a fragile old dear that just sleeps all day, wants to be left alone but given lots of cuddles & perhaps is on a special diet, then give me a call. If you are needing a cat boarded with chronic kidney disease, he must have been seen by a veterinarian within 2 weeks prior toboarding and considered in a stable condition.
Being an experienced vet nurse, I am confident at medicating even the naughtiest of cats &
qualified to quickly assess a problem should it arise. In a situation where a cat needs to see
a vet, we endeavour to contact the name you have supplied, but if it is urgent or after hours we will use the closest orthe after hours emergency hospital.
If your elderly cat is healthy, and fit enough to stay in the main cattery, we sometimes add a heating pad to the bed for extra warmth in the winter months. Although all areas are heated in the cattery, some of the older cats have little or no body fat for insulation. (There may be a small charge if this is needed)
